Amy Foong graduated from the School of Architecture in the University of Auckland in New Zealand, she is pracitising in Hong Kong after she graduated since 1997.
Ms Foong participated in the landscape design industry for more than 15 years with solid experience on landscape project management. She worked on different kinds of projects ranging from public facilities, mixed use developments, resorts and residential projects in Hong Kong and China. Ms Foong practiced in Architecture Firm which strengthened her technical knowledge and communication skill working with Architects, Interior Designers, Engineers and Contractors.
Ms Foong involved from conceptual design, developed design to the construction stage of a project, leading the team to participate with passion and enthusiasm throughout different design stages, with good management skill to deal with every single detail, in order to achieve professional standard.
A few significant projects that she has been involving in including the Central Police Station Compound Conservation and Revitalization Project Central Hong Kong, Pingan Financial Centre Shenzhen, Hyatt Regency Hotel Hangzhou, the Sandalwood – 18 family houses in Shanghai.
In current years, Ms Foong works as an educator in the Hong Kong Design Institute in the Landscape Architecture programme. Her vision is to promote this professional practise to the public and develop an all rounded learning experience to students leading them to the professional study path and career development.
